Sensory Friendly Hours at the Connecticut River Museum (Copy)
The Connecticut River Museum now hosts Sensory-Friendly Hours. Reserve your space today! Thanks to a generous grant from The Petit Family Foundation, we are able to offer sensory friendly items during the visit, including beanbag chairs and fidget toys.
Exhibits with loud noises and/or bright lights are modified to allow people with a range of abilities to experience all the Museum has to offer. A designated quiet room is set up for the duration of the event to allow visitors to decompress, take a break, and experience the Museum at their own pace. Parents and caregivers must stay with their children at all times.
Green Stage Guilford
The 2023 festival will premiere five new works and present nearly two dozen other performances in music, drama, dance and storytelling, plus a dance residency for people of all abilities. There will be something going on every day on and around the Guilford Green from September 17-24.
Guilford Fair
Come to The Guilford Fair, Established in 1859, the Fair is held each year during the third full weekend in September, on the Fairgrounds in historic Guilford, Enjoy the entertainment and exhibits for all ages! Live bands headline the musical entertainment Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon. As in the past, one gate admission covers all shows, the Guilford Fair Circus, competitions, displays, and exhibits inside, with special appearances this year from Rosaire’s Royal Racing Pigs, and Sharpy the Mammoth Donkey. Only rides and refreshments are extra.
East Haven Fall Festival
The festival will feature a variety of entertainment and activities for all ages throughout the weekend, from musical performances to a craft fair featuring vendors from all over Connecticut. Mareena Amusements will be providing vintage-style rides at the festival, including a Ferris wheel. The Teen Corner will consist of an inflatable obstacle course, two-lane bungee run, and an inflatable rock wall, running between 5 to 10 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 9. Another fixture of the festival will be the 28th edition of the Car Show. Those who participate in the Car Show can enter a raffle for prizes. A trophy presentation will take place to honor the best car in show.
North Haven Fair

North Branford Potato & Corn Festival
The North Branford Potato and Corn Festival, or PoCo Fest, is an exciting annual event celebrating the harvest of potatoes and corn in North Branford, Connecticut. This free, family-friendly festival features a wide range of activities, including delicious food, free contests and games, rides and amusements, a craft and business expo, a petting zoo, and live entertainment throughout the weekend.

Guilford Craft Expo
Celebrate summer with the return of the Guilford Craft Expo! This 3-day event, taking place July 14-16, 2023 on the Guilford Green, is one of the longest-running and renowned craft shows in the country. Essex Auto Club Annual July 4th Car Show
For its 15th year, the Essex Auto Club Annual Car Show will once again be held on the grounds of the Connecticut River Museum in historic Essex Connecticut on Tuesday, July 4th from 10:00am-2:00pm. Overlooking beautiful Essex Harbor, this show is attended by hundreds of spectators and car enthusiasts each year

Connecticut Sea Music Festival
The 2nd Annual CT Sea Music Festival drops anchor in historic downtown Essex on June 9-12, 2023. Free weekend festivities include a Symposium on the Music of the Sea, daytime workshops, a parade, a family stage, demonstrations of sailor skills, a Sunday morning revival-style hymn sing, and late-night Chantey Sings in the historic Griswold Inn! Evening concerts held on the main stage are ticketed events.

18th annual Mystic Irish Parade kicks off on Sunday March 19th, 2023 at 1pm. Over 2,000 marchers, 100 units are expected. The parade begins at the Mystic Seaport

The 26th Annual Old Saybrook Chili fest takes place along Main Street, Old Saybrook. Twenty five chefs will compete for the title of "Best Chili," as determined by you, the voting public.
Taste of the Shoreline - For Morgan Project Grad 2023
Taste of the Shoreline is a benefit for the Project Graduation - Morgan Project Graduation is a parent-run project to raise funds for a safe, substance-free graduation event for our high school seniors. All proceeds from this will go to benefit the graduation event.
Taste of the Shoreline is an over 21 yr old event and no outside food or drink will be permitted. There will be a variety of food, generously donated from restaurants all over the shoreline and great live music from The Green Stamps. There will be alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to purchase and some great raffle items and a silent auction.
Cookbook Club for Kids
Check out a copy of the chosen cookbook for the month, make a recipe within the cookbook and bring it to share with the other kid chefs and their families. This month's cookbook is The Family Kitchen by Debra Ponzek . You must bring a dish to attend.

Madison Art Society’s 48th Annual Member Exhibition
Madison Art Society’s 48th Annual Member Exhibition. Works of art can be viewed at the E.C. Scranton Memorial Library, 801 Boston Post Road in Madison from February 13th to March 17th, 2023. The exhibit is free and open to the public during library hours. Opening reception will be held on March 2nd from 5:30-7:30pm. Greet and meet the artists and enjoy music, refreshments, and tasty nibbles!
